Nathan Wheldon & the Two Timers are a pop driven acoustic/roots act based in Launceston, Tasmania. At 22 Nathan’s writing boasts that rare ability draw an audience into an intimate, immersive experience.. directly connecting to listeners with relatable and emotive stories of love, loss and the lessons of growing up.
From the modest beginnings as a 3 piece, the band has doubled in size to now include lead guitar, keys, and brass. The bands first full length album ‘A New Years’ Revolution’ was recorded at Damien Gerard in Sydney and released in 2008. It takes acoustic influence from the likes of Josh Pyke, John Mayer and with a dash of Jason Mraz inclined groove.
Selected 2 years running to play at The Falls Festival in Marion Bay the band’s support slots have included The Basics, Borne and Dave Graney. Their songs have been featured on Triple J’s ‘JTV’, the nationally released compilations ‘Home Grown Roots Vol.2 & 3′.
August sees the release of the new EP ‘10 to 83′.
